buzzing problem
buzzing problem
I know a guy that is having an issue with his tweeters, here is his problem...
I got some Infinity 6012i's for my front speakers, and I tend to listen to a lot of rock music with female vocals. When I turn it up a little loud, the lyrics on a lot of songs tend to get really raspy and sharp (almost like a hiss). For electronic music they seem to be fine though.
Is this common with silk dome tweeters or is it just these particular speakers? Can anyone recommend lower-end coaxial speakers for this type of music? Bass isn't really important, clear mids and highs with decent SPL are what I'm looking for.
hopeing oyu guys can help out since your basically the audio masters....
Now i wouldn't expect this issue out of silk dome tweeter, he has tried an external amp and they had the same issue. From what he is telling me he is not overpowering/cranking them up...
THanks

Audio masters...
he is over driving the amp to the speakers. I assume he is using HU amplification and it just isn't enough. Any speaker put in the hole will sound lousy if my hunch is correct. what amp did you test with, because it could be the high volume you like makes the speakers distort.
