Can I use 2 10" subs from different manufacturers
hey man its all good use what ya got till ya got the money to upgrade the only person you have to impress is you (and maybe the ladies but they wont know the diff haha) so ya do it up if ya like it then who cares
When i bought my subs, for 4 different cars now, I always bought 2 the same. I even amped them the same. I went to great efforts to make sure they were wired the same. Set them up with the same amount of power.
I don't know why i went to all that trouble.
If you're satisfied with whatever works, go for it.

why F a sub up (2 subs in the same box and have 2 typs of subs in it you know you will F a sub ) if in 2 boxs youknow the SQ will not be there and i think this needs to move form SQ to SPL
you may have some thing but i would not do it
but i can see you are going to do it so move one sub up to the foot well and one in the back ,try some time settings if you have them
but have fun and i do not like reading O NO I HAVE A F-ED SUB NOW WHAT TO DO
zzzzzzz, you said i might "F" one of the subs.
How could that happen?
I'll admit, i am very new to this game (bass game), however i am not new to
the electrical game.
From what i understand about the way subs work, if i take your advice by putting the subs in different parts of the vehicle I will get cancellation.
Cancellation happens when the signal from the amp gets sent to the subs, if the subs are @ diff distances from the amp, they will play the same note milliseconds apart, and one subs' bass waves cancel out the other one.
I will be running these subs in parallel, therefore each of their paths has
their own resistance, and will not be affected by the other.
I am a little paranoid, because even though i have a formal background in electronics, i do not have a formal background in subwoofer or sound engineering.
So please zzzzzzz, if you could explain to me how I might "F" one of my subs I would greatly appreciate it.
