Changing system to SQ!

Hi everyone,
I am going to change my sound system to include sound quality! I wanted some feedback on my choices.
I currently have 2 sets of alpine R type components in custom enclosures in the each door, 4 infinity kappa perfect 10 dvc's in the rear deck, 2 JL audio HD600/4 amps in the trunk along with 2 sony M1000's. I also have a 0 guage wiring kit with 2 kinetik 2000 batteries.
I was thinking of getting a couple of sets of audison AV K6's to replace the alpine door speakers and redesigining the rear deck for a pair of DD Audio 3512f's. I know that my alpine amps have to go and was thinking I could replace them with a pair of Hifonics BRZ2400.1D amps.
What do you think? Am I on the right track? What different would you do?

Hi everyone,
I have just ordered a couple of sets of the audison AV K6 VOCE's. They were on sale for $345.00. I couldn't resist at that price. Now I just need to know which subs would be the best for sound quality and which amp would be the best to run them. I want the subs for more tonal accuracy and clarity. I'm not much of a boomer anymore, however once in a while I like to turn the bass up and get a good old back massage. Shaking till I can't see the cars in front of me isn't an option anymore. I like to enjoy my music not shake the hell out of my neighbourhood. If you could suggest the best subs bang for buck and an amp that would be ideal for running them, please feel free to mention it!

It sounds like you have some nice components like: Kinetik batteries; 0 awg; JL HD amps.

The 3512's will give a major dose of bass! For tonal accuracy, I've been playing with the Arc Audio Arc 10's and have been really pleased with the results.
As for amplifiers, I always suggest amps that have great signal to noise ratio's, superb THD (.02% or less).

Speakers... quality components that can be installed in such a way as to give you a sound stage on your dash will help.
If possible, get a 4 channel amplifier just for the fronts with a high pass filter that goes above 2k for more control.
Having a deck with more than just a bass & treble control will be an asset, unless you can get an eq system with time alignment.

That's just my professional opinion.

Thanks alot guys! I appreciate the advice! I have actually changed my mind a little bit about the setup and have decided to go with the Audioque AQ3500.1D for power. I gave a listening to two subs this weekend and am ammazed at the quality of the Image Dynamics IDMAX subs and the Fosgate Power T2 Series. I'm not sure if many subs can keep up to that quality of sound. They were so accurate, even at higher volumes. The other word that could describe them is smooth. I still have to listen to the DD Audio subs but "I've been told" " that they are even nicer and just as smooth and linear as any other sub out there, maybe even more. I would have to hear it to believe it now. I am leaning a little toward the fosgate since I don't know the Image Dynamics name.

Sincerely,
D.

Andre's Car Audio in Kamloops B.C.. They are the absolute best speakers I've ever heard. I've been thinking about making a set into a home speaker set!

Are you running your subs IB? I would personally go with the image dynamics over the rockfords. Im surprised the t2s sounded as good. It is more of an spl woofer.

My subs are clamshelled together. It's the best way to get max space and ultra low frequencies, not only that the overall sound quality of the subs is incredible in that config. I figured that they might be a little out of proportion and that's not the case they are way more accurate.
On another note: Since I was down at the nearest decent sound shop (2 hours drive away) the other day. I did something that I've never done before. I cranked my system just to show off a little, I guess. Well my subs quickly started to smell funny, within seconds. LOL ( Can you say "CLIPPING" boys and girls? ) They actually sounded like monsters. I've never done that before with this system. I loved it! I want more !!!!

wish I was in BC then. Definitely wasn't quoted that here in Toronto or I'd have considered the K6 instead of ordering the AV X6.5 yesterday locally. even though I don't need components for my current ride/set up, it's always nice JUST in case for the next car.
