considering blaupunkt velocity series

Was talking to a local audio dealer who is recommending for hi end
high quality speakers as the new blaupunkt velocity series. Claims these
are far superior in crispness, clarity, low distorsion compared to the lower end blaupunkts that I have now. He also claims these also are superior to most other brands on the market, dollar for dollar. he is quoting approx. $600. pair.
Can anybody give an opinion on these vs. the competion.
I run an AlpineCDA9883, Blaup. 5x7 in front, 6x9 in rear driven by a Rockfos.
4 channel amp and also a pioneer 10" sub powered also by a Rockfos.
1 channel amp.
I am looking to spend up to $600 a pair and $400 for a 10" sub, the best quality available in this range.
Can anybody help a guy out ? THANKS.

Your price is too high. A local Cambridge dealer had the "V" series components on for much less then that.

They are a very well built speaker. The components use a Neo motor, 3" VC, and carbon cone. The subs are decent, but not designed for big SPL.

Can you tell me exactly what you want from the system?
