DC outlet in use=FM static

Hi. I have encountered a problem recently, I plug in my iphone charger and my local FM stations go extremely staticy. If I take it out, it works fine. I have tried it with multiple chargers and they all do the same thing.

My friend suggested it may be the ground lin (?) but I do not know what that means or how to fix it.

The outlet may be wired up incorrectly as well - surprisingly common. The reason outlets and plugs are polarized (one big side, one small side) is so the small motors and transformers in appliances don't cause interference with TVs and radios.

Try a different outlet or pick up an outlet checker from Canadian Tire/WalMart/Rona and you can test all your outlets to see if they are wired properly. When I bought my house, half of the outlets in the basement were wired backwards.. :ohwell:

whut? Are you using an inverter and AC charger in a car or is it a DC charger?

All the stereo equipment is stock. The charger is one that plugs directly into the dc outlet.
