Can you run that by me again in simpler terms? :P Ok, let's look at it this way; If you can connect 2- 4(or 2-8-16)ohm subwoofers(or any speaker), in series, which adds the resistance eg 4+4=8ohms( this is when you connect one positive from one speaker, to negative of other speaker.) and if you can connect 2-speakers in paralel (both positive together, both negatives together) where the resistance is devided by half, eg. 4devided by2=2 ohms. you can also connect a pair of speakers that give a total of 8Ohms(in series), to another pair of speakers that are also 8oms(in series). connect both pairs of 8Ohms, in paralel to give you a 4Ohm load. Now you have 4 subwoofers on one channel that gives you a 4 ohm load per channel. repeat the same process for the other channel, and you have a total of 8 subwoofers on one amplifier. The process can be repeated for an infinite number of woofers.., or till you run out of power. Hopefully this helps |
I can see there is a need for a new emoticon.....the "yanking your chain" one....:cheeky4:
