Enclosure for Morel Ultimo 12
I'm thinking of either using the Subthump stealth enclosure which is 1.2 cu. feet (would that be big enough for this sub?), or building a box withe sub facing the back of the rear seats.
anyone built an enclosure for this sub that can maybe give me some advice on the ideal size and positioning. |
Sealed or ported? If it's sealed it's within Morel's recommendations of 0.7-2.11 ft^3, with optimum being 1.06...keep in mind that's in a test facility as every car's interior will deliver different bass response. For ported they recommend 0.88- 2.1 ft^3 with optimum at 1.59.

Generally speaking a rear firing sub will give a more full sound than a forward firing sub. Forward tends to sound weak.

I will be dynamatting the entire trunk, rear deck, doors atc, but still. Would running a ported box with the port running through the rear deck into the cabin be a good idea for SQ? |
