Few More Questions

Sorry for being a n00b with all the questions and such. But anyways.

1. On the back of speakers, the wire connectors, is there a positive and negative ?. Back of my 6x9s just have 2 metal tabs.
Also, would I use a connector, or, just strip the wire, and like sodder it to the speaker tabs ?

2. I will be running 2 amps. 1 for my 6x9s, and the other for my subs. Will I need to run 2 wires off the battery, one for each amp ?. Also, how would I go about connecting 2 amps, to the sterio deck.

3. Is it alright to mount an amp semi-near the sterio deck ?. I have been told, if you put certin wires close to eachother, you will get interference. ( What wires will do that ? )

4. Im getting some 12' Audiobahn subs off a friend. I look at them on the net, and I can see that each sub has like 2 wire in-puts, on the back. Would I just connect the wires to one ?

Thanks. Sorry for all the questions.

1. Positive = Big Tab
Negative = Small Tab

2. No, you can run one master power to the back, and use a DISTRIBUTION BLOCK to branch off with up to 4 power wires. You connect one RCA to your rear preout and one to your sub preout on your deck.

3. Its fine as long as your RCA's are separated from your power/ground/signal wires.

4. The sub has 2 terminal spots because it has 2 voice coils. If you wire the 2 terminal spots together, the resistance of the sub lowers, producing more power from your amp.

Ok thanks. So I am assuming its better to hook both terminals on the back of the subs.
Now, how would I go about doing this. Running 2 wires, 1 to each terminal on the back of the sub, then connect them together where the sub box connector post is ?

Yea, you have to wire the subs in either a series or parallel depending on the load you want.
