I have been away from car audio for quite some time, since 1987 I think. Since that time, I took up home audio and only recently paid attention to my car audio system. I put together a very simple system consisting of the entry level Panasonic CQC 1001, 2 Infinity 5.25" Reference 5002i co-axials in the kickpanels and a single 10" Kicker Comp VR with an Eclipse 2x130 watt rms amp.

After putting it all together I had to adjust or fine tune the system to my tastes. I utilized an audiophile test cd from Sheffield labs titled "Test and Burn in CD" which provides tracks for imaging, phase, channel testing etc. With it, I fine tuned the system within minutes. I highly recommend this CD or any other similar discs for fine tuning an audio system. Just me 2 cents.

I use a few CD's but the most important first step is level setting which I use A2K CD 104.
