focal 5ws
This little sub should work in a .25 cuft ported enclosure, has anyone got any experience with these little woofers?
I am being told that a pair (one in each door) will not have significant output...I tend to believe that a pair of high excursion 5" subs, could belt it out above 50hz. I am being told to use 4!
Thanks...

i thought the goal was better midbass?, beware multiple point sources of the same frequency bandwidth, unless your talking subwoofers, i used a older model of the focal woofer and was impressed, thought it was great but needed 6 to get a reasonable amount of bass
I'm all over the map with these darn door speakers! I would limit multiple point sources of the same frequency by using 12/24 db crossovers. I am curious as to the mid bass performance of this particular configuration. This is my way of researching different methods to tackle a problem, as I find the info dealt out here to be very helpful. Dave, you reiterated what I have been hearing about the 5" speaker, I need more than 2.
Thanks again!

I put a pair into a car but never got any real listning time in. I happen to be installing the same set into another car but Lord only knows when that will be done....
It's a 5, and it's not THAT high excursion. I would not bank on big output from a single pair.
