help me chose a 4"

Hey all,

I'm looking for a 4" coax for the dash of my car. Currently they are still stock AFAIK (old blaupunkt), but I've redone the rest of the car and this is all I have left for now.

I have a set of Hertz 5 1/4 in the rear doors and a 4 channel kicker amp making 50wrms/ch

I don't want anything with a metal tweeter, more something that will blend with the Hertz nicely.

They are pointed directly at the windshield pretty much if that matters.

I am looking to spend about $150 to a MAX of $200 . . . used is better to get more bang for my buck.

Any suggestions out there?

I've been trolling through the classifieds here but haven't come across any 4" coaxials at all, anyone come across anything on any other sites?

Thanks!

James

a local shop carries Boston Acoustics S45 and they seem to think they will be a good choice.

I'm pretty new with all this, but I always remember Boston being a solid audio company. Opinions?

forgot to mention, I don't want anything with the tweeters protruding out the top of the speaker very much - I need to reuse my factory grills.

I'm also looking for a goo pair of 4" door speakers. How about Infinity 4" (4012I)?? Are these good?

I have a new set of Fusion FPC-4 Components left from last year for $199 shipped.
You could mount the mids under the grill and the tweets away from the glass....my last ride had the 4" co-ax versions firing towards the glass, and they sounded quite nice, but the reflection did make for a bit of a peak at 3k.
The tweets come with 3 types of mounts including a swivel "Eyeball" that would rectify that situation. Handle a ton of power.
I wish they still made 'em like this.
