Hertz Space K6L opinions

Anyone have any experience with these? I can get these now in my price range and they will be a good fit for my Subaru's tight speaker fitament. I am told they share the same tweeter with the MLK 165 line.

Thoughts, opinions or experiences would be appreciated.

thanks,

Ditka

Contrary to popular opinion, the space tweeter is NOT the exact tweeter from the MLK165 line. Cosmetically they look quite similar, but their build components and materials are different. The space components work reasonably well. They have a more of a relaxed sound and apparent open sound, but my guess is that it is due to the midrange mostly considering where the crossover point on the passive is set. Rumor is that there is a new space subwoofer to be launched soon to complete the line.

Are you sure the Space tweeters are not the same as the MLK 165's? The reason I ask, is because I got a pair of Space tweeters to replace my MLK's under warranty. They look
identical, and are rated the same.

I am quite certain they are not the same. If you would like a guaranteed second opinion, call David or Larry at Mobile Solutions in Calgary. David has worked quite extensively with Electromedia and the launching of the Hertz line in North America. We too thought they were the same until he dug a bit deeper into the makeup of the tweeter. He is a great guy to talk to about anything in the Hertz/Audison/Connection line.

Thanks sawnicxs, for your response. I will certainly give Mobile Solutions a call.
