How to fix this stupid mistake
 

As you may already know i am trying to go active (3way + sub). The problem is when i initially purchased the Eclipse mkII I had plan to go active, but only 2 way and the 3 preout config was ok then.

Now that I have "almost" everything to go 3way, I want to find a cheap and effective solution.

Now the dilemma is that I want to easily control the sub level an frequency and be able to adjust the TA&Xover for the 3way. Now if I split one of the pair to drive let say Hi&Mid or Mid&Midbass I lose the TA adjustment because of the Y.

Finding a H701/H700 with controller is an option but it will be very expensive and at that point I should look to replace the HU itself. The Bit One look promising but I can't find much info and the price is in the same range the Alpine is... I could use a RF 3sixty.2 to split one of the HU RCA (set to full range) and then use the 360 to adjust the xover and TA, but then again those are not cheap either...

Any suggestion?

I ended up using a three way with my Pioneer 800PRS and ran into the same issue. I found that by y splitting the mid bass/mid range, I could still use all of my time alignment, x-over adjustments and everything. The only thing that I couldn't control from the deck was the x-over from the mid bass to the mid range. I have to control it at the amps.
It sounds unbe****ingbeliveably phenominal!!! I'm doing around 360 in SQi.
As long as you have an RTA or have access to one, you'll kick some serious ass with that equipment.

The only way to maintain tweeter time alignment control is with sqmonster's method. There is really no cheap solution for a fully controllable front stage since it's usually accomplished with DSP (ie. expensive). The rockford 360.2 will do this for a rediculous price, or you could look into a 12V modified Behringer DCX2496.

Cool i like the idea of modifying a Behringer DCX2496, but I don't have room to install it... And the 3sixty look like a PTA to configure (palm, laptop...). Ill go with SQmonster suggestion for now and if i find a PXA-H701/H700 ill go with that.

I will go with the 701 for now and upgrade later (i love upgrade!!!)

I havent had any problems with the 701. The zipper noise is a pain, but other then that, no issues at all.

What zipper noise ???
