Just think about all the mess you will have with 3way + amp. Hehe.
You'll have to run either your midbass+midrange off the mid channel pairs on the unit, or run midbass + sub off the "sub" pair, which is stupid lol.

Then once you use mid channel to run midb and midr, you loose time alignment on them if you wish to use it. I do .

And there won't be a lot of 4way units, because there's no demand for them.

Why would that be stupid? If the amps have unboard xovers then the only problem is with TA for the subs. Usually on decks you can xover the sub part pretty high, midbase high

The ONLY way to go.

Go with the Alpine or Pioneer if you want, but Eclipse are good SQ decks too imo. All 3 get two thumbs up from me.

Because decks usually have sub-level adjustment, say alpine goes from 0 to -15. That will affect both mbass and sub. No good. What you gona do when you want to bump the sub level up only? Remote bass ****? Eww that's additional thing to put somewhere.

I would deal with a base **** for sure. Plus, I would high pass my midbase at the amp to, so it doesnt matter what base boost does

Still pita :P.

Final word from me is, if you want 4way, do it properly and you'll have to drop some coin.
