Hybrid Audio Technologies – Equipped Cars Sweep
The Eastern Canadian IASCA® Finals…Again
Atlanta, GA – For the second year in a row, Hybrid Audio Technologies once again establishes itself as the preeminent brand of loudspeakers for competitors and discerning car audiophiles in Canada.
On September 8, 2009, almost exactly one year ago, Hybrid Audio Technologies announced that the IASCA Canadian Championships had proven that the best-sounding cars in Canada use Hybrid Audio Technologies products. We are pleased to announce that nothing has changed since our last news from Canada!
The Eastern Canadian Finals were contested last weekend, and with one hundred seventy five (175) entries in sound quality, sound pressure, and show and shine; it was the biggest car audio event in Canada in recent history. You could not have asked for a better day and a better venue for the first annual show, where IASCA partnered up with the Xtreme Tuner Series to give all attendees and competitors real value for the money. Alongside the competition, the two organizations notably managed to raise over CDN $500.00 for the Canadian Cancer Society by donating a portion of every entry fee.
Team Hybrids, the official competition branch of Hybrid Audio Technologies, was well represented at the show taking top spots in SQI Amateur (David Erwin), and SQI and SQC 1 seat PRO (John Myers) with a whopping score of 499 points, and SQI and SQC two seat Ultimate (Larry Woolacott) with the highest score of the day at 540 points. Team Hybrids member Jason Gay took second in a tonal accuracy SQC tie breaker with Woolacott. Other Hybrid Audio-equipped cars took home top awards as well with Louis Chouinard taking first in Rookie SQI with a score of 214 points, as well as rookie SQC, and Jim Hobson taking second in the same formats. Hobson’s Saturn actually tied Chouinard in SQC, with the tie-breaker being the Tonal Accuracy score. Julian Ridi took home the top spot in SQC Amateur. Both Chouinard's and Ridi’s cars hail from Hybrid Audio dealer Central Station Customs located in Montreal, QC.
Every class that included a Hybrid Audio-equipped car was won by a Hybrid Audio-equipped car, including winning all key sound and sound/install classes, including Best of Show.
“This is the best show we have had in a long time; having this many cars competing, with a great venue and Mother Nature’s cooperation, made for an excellent day of fun and fierce competition” commented Jason Gay, IASCA coordinator. “It was also great having Canada’s favorite ‘car audio son’ in attendance, Moe Saborin.”
Larry Woolacott of Sound Solution, the exclusive distributor of Hybrid Audio Technologies products in Canada, was on-hand to compete and win with his newly-unveiled 2002 Buick Regal GS. Larry commented “naturally, I am elated at the performance of the factory Team, but I am especially pleased by the outcome of all those that are not affiliated with Hybrid Audio, but use the product to win in the same way. It was a sweep of all important classes, including all of the sound-only classes, which is evidence of Hybrid Audio’s superiority as the high-end brand of choice in Canada, and around the world. This definitely backs up what we did here last year.”

good write up but if you include the west hybrid-audio in invisible.. probably why you only write about the east... sorry our here pioneer takes first overall in the coveted sqi pro catagory with certified iasca world judges... also of note were focal and mb quart. although no scores of 499 were amassed the difference of scores could and is judge dependent. i would have loved to see our scores with same judges with your scores.. but alas you have the gavotte and i for one salute you...

That is why if you really want to be CDN finals champion there has to be two shows with the same SQ judges at each show. It didnt happen this year but you never know about next year.
ANd yes I will admit that Hybrid Audio is well represented in the East and they are a very strong team. In time maybe the west will follow
Congrats on a very good year for yourself. Would love to check out your ride in person as I dont see many Pioneer cars taking it to the next level. Last one that I can remember was Marc Turner who competed with his Neon. His car was amazing and it sounded superb using all Pioneer products.

HAT is alive and well in the West. I would have loved 2 have competed this year,but due 2 sh*t you dont want 2 hear about I could not.Hopefully I'll be out again soon and see If I can do as well as I did last year.Have a good 1 people.

-Everyone have a good winter & drive safe.
