The CD 9813, 9815, 9831, 9833, 9835 all have 4v pre-outs, but I couldn't find the impedance on the website. Anybody have any idea?

Taken directly from the 9831 owner's manual:

Maximum Pre-Output Voltage 4 V/10 k ohms

I"m not sure what 10 kilo ohms equate to though.

Usually they are just rated in ohms aren't they?

so is 10 kilo ohms = 10, 000 ohms?

10K ohms would be 10,000 ohms or atleast that is how I would interpret it.

100 ohm 4volt preouts on the CDA9833. Tom (alpine Rep) said that number (4volts) was closer to 5.5

I notice an audible output difference from my 4volt 100ohm Panasonic DPX95 to my new HU.
