Installing my system in my truck
I have a quad cab dodge truck and have decided to install some stereo gear in and get rid of the stock radio. I have some pretty good stuff although it is quite old by now. I gathered it all up and have quite a collection much to my surprise. My biggest question is that I have a pioneer DEQ 9200 EQ and would like to know if I should use it in my system. I have a good HU (Premier 840MP)
If I do use it would I use it by itself or with the active crossover that I also have. I can't remember if the DSP can set crossover points or not. If the answer is yes, would I need a line driver? The HU is 4V but I am not sure of the DSP. It will be running into 2 Fosgate 400sx amps and one Kicker 5 channel amp. I am not sure I need all the amps but that is what I have. |
This is typical of forums, if you don't ask something stupid you may never get a response.

I'm not 100% sure what you're asking since I don't know that Pioneer gear off hand.
But, Id say if you have 3-4V preouts (F/R/S) and your RCA runs are less than 10 feet. You'll be good for signal voltage. If you like to tweak your speakers, run the external eq for fun, not voltage:cheeky4: |
