to invest in components or not

I am interested in buying some components but do not know if I would be happy doing so.

This what I have so far in a 2006 ram quad cab
two 10" 300 watt rms kenwood subs in a ported box
an audio bahn 1300hct mono amp driving them at 2 ohm for 600watts

pioneer 6100 four channel all wired at 4 ohm
6x9 alpine sps 3 ways in front doors
5 1/4 pioneer 3 ways in rear door.
pioneer head unit.

I was thinking of putting a pair of mid bass in the rear doors and a pair of components in the front...running from the pioneer 4 channel

This is the general idea, would it improve my overall listening experience? Any other suggestions?

This is the subs installed under the rear seats in a Foxbox

and the amps installed behind the rear seats

Puting a component system in the front/back would greatly increase the imaging alot! I remember when I only used coaxal speakers, then I switched to components and I was hooked. You can move the tweeter to wherever you want to see what sounds best for you and the type of music you listen to.

I find it odd that you have 6x9 components in the front, and 5 1/4 in the back. But I guess that's just the way it is for your vehicle .

CDT Makes a 6x9 component system, maybe you should check that out .

im lovin that installation very clean

a componant system would improve sound a bit but if your happy with what you have then you need to deicde if you could do more enjoyable things to your vehicle with the money if good quality sound is whats holding it back then by all means upgrade!

Yes, I think it would be a significant improvement...although you'll probably lose a little midbass output since the 6x9's will have more cone area.

The biggest improvements upgrading to comps are better materials and better crossover components. Most (if not all) coax speakers only use a tiny 6 dB/octave cap on the tweeter and nothing on the mid.

Keep it simple in the rear, a good pointsource or coax speaker is all you need back there. In the front though, using a adaptor template, it is easily possible to install a darn good set of 6.75" component speakers. This will totally change the way you listen to your sound and will be one of the best upgrades you can do. Your choice of speakers and your enjoyment of them will totally depend on your budget.

This is a VERY solid recommendation. If you get a nice pair of 6.75's up fromt, you will keep a solid midbass and you will have much higher sq.
