Jl 13 w7's
i just got a jl 13w7 for 250, do you think 2 is enough or should i push to get a third? I dont have an amp as yet, but as i've said before i want sound quality, and spl, and from my research this is a good hybrid of both.

For 250 I would assume something is wrong with it. In any case, 3 means you need more power, but I think it helps with wiring because JL's have some funny impedances I think. But 2 should be fine. 3 would make you way cooler though, overkill is always better.

Can I get one for $250? :D

Nothing is wrong with it, i've tested it out, pounds fine. It's my buddies...

That's a wicked price! I'd be more worried about what amp your going to run and just how you would even fit 3 of them in your ride. What car are the subs going in? I'd suggest a sundown 3000 for 2 w713s because 2 of those subs wires to either 3 or .7 I believe

Hi john. i'm not sure what your trying to say with the last part. Toyota 4runner.

3ohm subwoofers, running multiples will run funky configurations ... Check the JL website for running 2 or 3 of them. And yes, you'd need space to run 3 13' subs.

13w7's have dual 1.5 voice coils. so you can wire two of them to either 1.5 ohms or .375 ohms

No they're saying make sure the amp you choose is up to the task of the final ohm load of whatever sub configuration you choose.
Plan ahead. Don't buy a 1ohmp amp and then wire multiple coils down to .3 or lower and then wonder why stuff is on fire. |
