What are your goals for the amp? Is there a particular reason for looking at 4 channel amps for the front stage? If your interested in spending less money on an amp and getting similar results I'd recommend checking out the Phoenix Gold Xenon X100.4. Phoenix Gold Xenon X100.4 Amp: Multi-channel

If you want to keep things simple up front I'd recommend listening to both the Alpine type X, and the Pioneer TS-C720PRS. Both sets have been praised for quality and bang for the buck.

Humm

Well my goal is straight sq here, no evan i am a little leary about your advice seeing how you are recomending alpine type x for front stage....sure they are alpine top bla bla but really they are not even in the same class as jl and focal... the reason i am getting a 4 channel amp is because the cross overs a are bi-ampable (1 chanel to tweet 1 to woffer) money is not really an option but both amps are in the 400 dollar range for what I have found.. MY real question is whitch amp is better the jl or the kicker , i have no fancy for phenox gold but thanks for the suggestion, go take a listen to some jl and alpine will sound like sony explode... lol

In addition

I did look at the reviews for the phenox gold amp, there is one reveiw saying it sounds better than the jl 300/4 swap. BUt only 1 it does however look like a promising amp.. here are the speakers i have in the front and the rear
The front is a 3 way system
Front..

Hmmm.... OK. Sounds like you've made up your mind about the JL speakers. I must have misunderstood the original question as to what suggestions you were looking for.

Consider the Zapco Reference Digital or C2K series of amps for this application, should prove to lay the smack down on the Kicker amps.

Most people omit rear speakers for SQ, but that is something for another thread. Sorry, I don't have any experience with the amps in question.
