JL vs MB Quart vs HERTZ + Clarion Subwoofer
First off I'll say I'm purchasing used and as of right now, these are the choices I've found:
-JL C5-525x [5.25"] (coaxials) for $250, supposedly 'new'
-MB Quart QM160 with MCX160 crossovers [6.5"] (components) for $200
-HERTZ Energy EV130 [5.25"] (components, not sure of crossovers or tweeters) for $150, 'mint'
-Clarion PFW1051 [10" shallow] (subwoofers) two of them for $100 each, 'new in box'
These would be going into a '95 Corolla, it only has two front door speakers (4") and no rear deck. The factory speakers are failing and the aftermarket deck isn't that great (in it when I bought it). Thinking of putting a Kenwood KDC-X996 head unit in it (owned an X995 on my previous vehicle and I was pleased with it). The speakers will possibly be amplified but I haven't decided yet, and I don't have an amplifier for the subwoofer yet - still deciding.
I was wondering on opinions of any of these speakers for sound quality, I don't need anything amazing but I do have a bit of a budget here at around $550-$600 (HU, wiring/time, and sub enclosure isn't included in the budget). Included in the budget would be a pair of speakers (components or coaxials, either or), a subwoofer (nothing amazing but I'd like something that's not just loud - more so sound quality orientated), and an amplifier which I'd determine later on.
If anyone can suggest something better that would fit in my budget it would be appreciated!

Go with components before coaxials if possible go with 6.5" but 5 1/4 will do fine. coaxials will be fine for the rear.
for a smaller install go with a single sealed 12 instead of dual 10's to save space, money and weight.
preference in music?
where are you located and looking for your gear?
