Am seriously considering installing this hu in my car with a 3-way setup. I need to know if this hu is capable of auto ta and eq and if it 'can' sound better than the 880prs or alpine 9887 after imprint adjustments..? Help needed here people, I was almost sold on the 9887 but have heard some very very good things about the kenwood and since I currently play my 880prs using its auto ta and eq, need to know if I can get equal or better overall sq from the kenwood....

What have you heard thats so good about the x991? I'm a dealer but i'm intrested in knowing why you think it will sound better then the 9887. As the 9887 is such a full package when it comes to a sq deck. Or is it the gained features usb? Ipod control? Download your own pictures....lol

 

I have heard from multiple people raving about it AFTER having used alpines and pioneer units. I have also heard experts rave about the 'cleanliness' and clarity of this unit sq, being the best flat response of the lot. Plus, in the portable audio market, I have experienced what they can do with sq on mp3 players and have been very very impressed..

 

you will mot be able to run a 3way active setup with th kenwood with out external processing as far as i know. also being a kenwood, alpine and pioneer dealer, i will say that i just purchased an 800prs and imo it out performs them all.
