So I repaired the broken terminals with brand new ones today and ensured that I gave them a nice solid crimp and wrapped the connections in heat shrink tubing. I took the car for a little ride and everything was fine. This doesn't mean I'm out of the water yet though since I was experiencing my problems after longer driving periods before so I will have to wait until I take my car on a 100km+ ride and see what happens.

Regardless, thanks for the help Dukk.

It had been a couple of weeks now and I have been without problems until today when I went on a drive of 70km+. Car was fine the entire ride until the final 10km when the sound cut out. =(

I was wondering if it's possible that my remote wire coming from my fuse box may be the issue?

After the amp receives the remote signal and turns itself on, what if the remote wire was loose, could the amp shut down from this?

Yep. As soon as power disappears on the remote wire the amp will shut off.
