Low budget SQ car

Who would be interested in having a low budget SQ car built for them. I'm looking to build a car that fills all the basic requirements for IASCA Rookie class and not cost lots to build. So, no really high end brand names or fancy install, just a clean simple system that sounds good.

Anyone?

John, how low budget are you talking about?
Just curious. Would be an interesting project indeed.

If my wife had a car, I'd gladly donate it. :)
Maybe I should make my dad do it, haha, he doesn't give a flying duck about audio though.

Anyone interested in Southern Ontario should jump on this immediately.

How about pimping out Al's minivan haha.

I would say $1000 or less from start to finish.

I would love to if I lived closer to Toronto... :(

This project will ofcourse be started after your car is finished.

John, are you talking speakers, amps, and install for 1000??

Someone needs to jump on this... Bigtime!

The number is just a guess, but yes. An entire system installed and set up for IASCA with a low budget in mind, but still very competitive in SQ.

That's no problem, I just have to stop buying equipment and I'll be good to go.

I did something similar last year, I bought a HU, comp set, RCA, sub amp, Sub and box from shops that put on shows (I will only give them business they support me so I support them). My system looked stock (extra tweets and aftermarket HU) and a big azz RE SX 18" in the back and competed in SQ and SPL at MECA sanctioned events. I did OK mid 140 SPL and 80's in SQ. I did it to make the same point you are, you dont have to spend a ton to compete and win... but I could have stood to spend more to get over 150 db or perform better in World Finals (5th in SQL)
