MB Quart

Hello, I am looking for some honest / educated / experienced opinions.

I am wondering if you think the MB Quart RAA2400 amplifier from around 2004 (when Rockford owned the company) would be as clean as my Soundstream Rubicon 702? Thank you.

(The reason I ask is because I purchased a second vehicle and I am trying to put a similar system in it as the vehicle with my current system. I would like to use an amplifier that is as clean/good as my Rubicon if at all possible).

Cheers,

- Reid

They seemed to be quite good, I met and listened to a car at the worlds with that amp, and she won here class in SQ...see switched to the focal amps the following year and she said very little difference in SQ.

I don't think you can really go wrong with the particular MB Quart Amp you mentioned. I'm a believer of putting 2-3 times more power on your front end than is required and then scaling the gains all the way down. This approach worked wonders on my last install where I used one 2400 on my front stage with their big sub amp on a pair of Elemental Designs SQ10's... Great results. I was going to pick up another to use in my new vehicle, however; I'm going to go a little different route and try out the Zed Audio Gladius to keep the footprint a little smaller.
