Mt attempt at SQ

Very nice job, out of curiosity when you were fiberglassing the A pillars did you do anything to mass dampen them? I just rebuilt my a pillars last week and what I did was add lead wheel weights in between the layers of fiberglass to give them some mass, I also poured in a bondo/fiberglass milkshake to smooth then insides and add even more weight to them as well.

noticed you used cotton (or whatever that cloth is) to hold you shape on your door panel, did you use the same method with your a-pillars? any way to help strengthen them to prevent flexing/cracking since the mid is hanging off them?

^ I'm not so sure he used fleece on the a-pillars based on the way they tuck around the ring at the bottom. Can't be sure though.
When I make a stretch out of fleece I wait until it is dry and then mix up a batch of resin and cut up matte (I cut into 1" squares or so). Stir the matte into the resin and it will break apart, creating a slurry that you can control the consistency of by how much matte you put in.
When you get it to something that will pour but is not runny - think cold syrup - then add your hardener, pour it into the pod and rotate the pod around to get an even coating on all surfaces. Keep rotating until it sets so it doesn't pool in one spot. A second coat may be needed.
I have done complete door panels this way too.
Using this method you NEVER have to add glass to the outside of the pod and will save yourself hours of sanding.

Oh and you'll here about this "milkshake" bullshit where people mix bondo and resin together.
Garbage.
Unless you maybe use kitty hair there is nothing structural to this mix (no fibres) so at best the only thing adding strength is thickness. You already have glass matte and resin so just use that.
