has anyone here done one?
here's what i have for equipment(so far)
avi 3 way component set(sl170 midbass,mx100 midrange,hf25d tweets,old skool orion 2150 sx
amp to run em,2-id12d4v.3 id subs,furi ha 2300
to run subs,alpine 9833 deck

any suggestions,comments?

Um, a year might help. They kinda vary in design over the 40 years that they've been making them.

beware the sl170 is a very poor midbass, that particular speaker is a subwoofer, the speaker that is meant to go with that tristar set you are lucky enough to own is the lx160, a far better midbass

actually,i have a set of lx 160 also.Bong from avi has told us that the sl170 will make an excellent midbass if used with the appropriate enclosure and subsonic filter for very high performance sound systems.would any one be interested in a set of hf25v,xn24c,lx160's?

i have sold avi since day 1 of avi, and can assure you that bong has great intentions, but hasnt listened to a car stereo for years, and he will even admit it. if you have any questions call avi, 604276009 and ask for richard, or call the vancouver audio clinic and ask for howard doctor and they will tell you the best midbass for the job

So you are basically saying that this Bong guy has no idea what he is talking about? I hope he isn't important there.
