New headunit and speakers.

Drive a cavy z24,

have 2 10' kicker comps. with a kenwood amp.

Looking to get front speakers replaced with tweeters, and also looking to replace the headunit with something more recent, right now have an older pioneer model, very good, but looking for something more modern.

Can get info and pics up if needed, not sure on product codes for the sub... not very tech savy in the car audio department.

Just want opinions on what I should go for on the front speakers, and tweeters, with what headunit? looking for more SQ then SPL

Any suggestions?

What year Cavy z24??
96 and up are usually 4 x6 for fronts or you can buy an adaptor plate and put in 5-1/4" or for rears it is 6x9 speakers.
depending on year.

2000 cavy z24, and ye I would be interested but your all the way in orillia,

I usually have a shop that does the work for me, for good price. I just wasn't sure what I should go with for ultimate sound quality. I have 2 10' kicker comps, a kenwood 1000watts peak, and then rear speakers have been replaced, but before I had the car, so Im not sure what they are.

Anyway help would be great! thanks.

I would reccomend buying the speaker plate adaptors for the cavalier to fit a 5-1/4" speaker in there and personally I like the Hertz speakers by preference of sound I like to hear. If you like it bright Focal is a better choice for front end or smooth Hertz. JL Audio also can be very bright but it honestly depends on how you listen to music. For me I like it not bright but a smooth sound to it with lots of mid bass. I put dynamat in my doors and made it very solid so I would get very tight midbass from my woofer and I mounted my tweeters higher up and it sounded amazing.

Personally best advice you will ever get bring some cd's you like listening to and go to a couple different car audio shops and take a listen to different types of speakers be open to hearing anything just remember when your listening to these speakers most demo boards are all in a solid mdf cabinet and your vehicles doors are made of thin sheet metal so any type of dynamat can improve that sound quality huge.
