So just wanted to put my 2 cents in on this deck...
First off I HATE the way alpine decks look, but if I cared that much I would not have an F#1 deck in my good car. Second if you know how to use it the imprint it will make your car sound great. It does not always work the first shot but sounds great when it dose. I’m running the deck in 3-way mode and it did a bang up job of setting its own crossover points. With the ****ed up set up I have it made the best of a bad situation. As with all CDA alpine decks anything ainet can be added. I got and Ipod and a sat radio going though a Vdoc1 (Brand New) and the sc100. A sportster 5 is docked and I have to say its awesome having the replay feature built into the deck and the song mem function as well. I do all the warranty at the shop I work and don’t send many of these decks back, and mine has not been one of them yet. But I can’t say the same for the sc100. Piece of . Anyway radio works great, Ipod works better, CD is again awesome, Sat Radio (Sirius) when the **** will a normal cd player come out with built in sat radio that will show you all the info available on a plug and play radio on the decks screen. **** that has to be my biggest complaint. I was hoping when using the vdoc the info would still show up on the sat radio. No such luck. Well there’s my 2 cents on this deck... If you get a good deal on it buy it, unless looks count then spit on it and buy a good Kenwood.
And I’m sure someone will want to know what else Im running in my winter beater.

eq! hello?
I Installed my new 9887 yesterday.
I got the Xovers and TA set up OK, I can play with the EQ, But I can't get simple Bass & Treble. It skips straight from sub level to balance/fader. Manual says it should be there.
How do i
I that back on? Or did i accidentally disable it?
Hopefully someone who has one can tell me what i did wrong.
Thanx,
Tom

solved that problem months ago.The reason for using bass and trebble is that is all you get once you have the Imprint (multi EQ).
You have to turn the Multi Eq off to be able to use the graphic or parametric EQ.
My car is stored for the winter and i'm driving my winter beater. Don't miss the car much, but do i ever miss the tunes!!
Wow, can't believe this thread is still going.
Anyways I've got an unused warranty comming due at a local shop from my TV purchase a few years ago. I will have $400 to spend at the store so I'm thinking about upgrading my CDA-9811 to the 9887. my front 5.25's and rear 6x9's are both powered from a 2ch amp feed from the rear RCA's then the 3.5's run off the deck front 18w.
I like the sound of this as I can fade the 3.5's in & out for vocals and stuff but I've never been able to use the T. corr. feature because of this set-up. Will this set-up also hinder the effectiveness of the imprint tuning?
Even if it does I still think the uprade will be worth while for the better crossover fetures and the rest of them (amber illumination matches my dash illumination).
