Newbie - Subwoofer & Bass processor question.

Does anyone own or heard either Focal 40A's (16" Access sub older..cheaper option) or the Focal Utopia 27WX (11" Subwoofer much more expensive option) and what are your thoughts about trying to put two of either subwoofer behind the seat of a 1996 Ford F-350 CrewCab. I am looking for a decent subwoofer to use in a tight space. Someone suggested that I take a serious look at Focals. (Although I will have to buy them online because no one in this city carries them). The subwoofers will be powered by a JL Audio A1800.

The next part of my question is would it help the JL amp to pick up a Soundstream BX-15 Digital Bass Reconstruction processor. The head unit I have is an Alpine IDA X-001.

Thanks for any help you can provide as I really don't know anything about either of these options.

tell you one thing don`t alter the sound to them subs they won`t like it.From what I take it the Focals are a pure sub so they won`t like the processing that alters the sound. One mor thing I think the subs would out class that amp as well

yes in total distortion. Its like cranking your bass boost knob to max at some Hz the sub was not ment for that.It was ment to be an a amp like the dual monitor and with a comp set like the BE sets. The 40A`s would maybe like it but from what I take over are long talks we have been having they are not for him.
