Pain in the ass

Anyone have a MRD M1005 Hooked up to 2 Type R Subs running 2 ohms. Running SQ? If so, what are your settings? Been dicking around for almost a month now, And I cant get the damned thing sounding right, either the base is off tune, and the speakers are good. or vice versa. Its right pissing me off. Its either im just really really sensitive to noise, or the music im listening to is . but lookin for some input here. The base pounds, but it seems to lack at 125Hertz, and be too much at 100 and kind of shitty sounding.

What else does your system consist of? I am curious as to why you don't have your subs set lower on the crossover.

Simple, 100-125hertz hits all the notes that the mids dont. cleaner sound. well supposed to be.

when I had a single type R on mrd-m605 it played very nicely. the mids should be able to play down to 60hz if you have decent speakers. I don't see a reason to cross the subs over 80hz. but just to make sure.... you know that low pass set at 80hz plays up to 80hz and higher freq. cut-off however the high pass for mids set at 80hz will play from 80hz and up.

Who told you that?

Your mid/midbass should be playing this frequency. Your subs should be set lower.
And turn off any bass boosts/Loud fuctions you have turned on.
