picking a sub

Im looking to set up a system right now and need guidance picking a sub(s). I listen to rap / techno, like the deep bass, sound quality, and a cheaper price tag is always nice. Alpine MRD M1000. Other than that i dont know what to ask, any help?

im not sure the differences between sizes, but have been told 10" is best for techno
and this is going in a 97 civic ex decent size trunk would Prefer smaller box, but if you lose to much from that id go with a medium size

im thinking 150-250w rms
maybe top of entry level bottom of above entry level
and fix the pricetag to that

the amp might be changing later on, no need for one that size

you will most likely get a 10"
i would look at 12" subs (just off your last post )
i would look at the shops nere you see what they have of last yrs lines ,then tell us what are your top 3 and we will tell you what we know (sometines it is not a lot LOL)

Do you mind me asking why you are looking at a 200 wrms sub when you have a 1000 watt rms amp?

If I were you, I would look at a 12" sub if you want a single. It is a common mis-conception that a 10" sub is more suited for techno. It is usually the sub itself rather then the size.

probably around $200 - but would rather base the $ amount on getting the right sub
