This is an open question to everyone.
As competitors, does it matter collecting points to qualify for Finals?
If offered, would you guys like to collect points for Zone championships?
Would you be interested in attending a Western Canadian Champions?
For prizes: BIG trophies or CASH?
Sanctioned events or not sanctioned?

All feedback would be great!

Collecting points and working your way to a Final Goal seems reasonable.
A guy competing for the same prise as you in the final show if they have done 1 show and you have done 10.

Cash prises are always good but I'd like to see manufatures kick in prises as well like Amps and speakers. Maybe get 10 sponcers togeather and have advertising at all the shows in return they all chip in for the final price( I'd like to say some sort of car!!) really get people excited about compations again.

if its held in the west its along way for the ONT guys to travel, where if its in ONT same goes for the BC/AB guys.

Belive it or not winnipeg might be a good point for travel wise.

Points are good, and they should have to be accrued for Finals with weighting on how many events are withion a reasonable distance to the competitor. I think cash prizes are best as it can help reimburse travel expenses. Whether pro or amature it costs to build a system, take time off work, gas etc. to compete, it would make it more affordable if some of that was recouped if you do well.

Western Canadian Championship would be cool

I put tons of cash into my car. And lots into shows. With the exception of World Finals, I'm not looking into getting any of it back as a amateur. So i would like to be able to win some cash or valuable prizes like an amp. But for shows in Canada, I just want big ****ing trophies. They come right along with the bragging rights. Other people have big trophies in their shops, I want one.

It would be great to see a Western finals for USACi, dB drag, and IASCA. I'd like to be at finals for two of those next year. I think Calgary is a good place for that. It's a good comprimise. I love the idea of points. I already do every show. It would be nice if there was a specific reason for it.

let me expand on the car Idea alittle, you pick a 20,000 to 25,000 doller car, but the key is to make one of the sponcers a dealership, in there agreemnet they give you the car at cost knock about 6000 off said car and the 10 sponcers pay about 2000 a peice. pretty good for that kind of exposure. winner payes taxes.< think thats how it always goes.

It would get me excited about car audio again ;)

^ Ditto..

Still have to get a rulebook though.

Do you have to become an IASCA member to enter into competitions?
