Serious SQ Question Carputer

I'm plannig to switch from my current Eclipse AV8533 HU to the carputer setup. I'll be building it by myself. 1.8Ghz, 200Gb, 512Mb, Fx5700LE, usb GPS. I plan to use Audigy X-FI Elite which is one of the top sound cards at the moment. I have it in my home system and it sounds just perfect. I'll run it through the Audiocontrol DQX driver to the zapco amp to my CDT 07.3 and through Audiocontrol 24xs to MA Amp to the subs. What do you think? Did anybody ever hear carputer playing? How does it sound? How is the SQ?
I just don't want to f#ck it up...
Thanks

Only concerns I had when looking into a PC based source where the environment, output voltage and power supply. PC are meant to be in a cool dry place. Cars arent usually cool and dry. Most sound cards put out low voltage signals (less then 2 volts from my research). And my first instinct was to use an inverter to power the system, though I ended up having a true 12 volt supply made.

So if you can protect the unit from the weather and can get enough voltage you should be fine.

Actually you might want to use a Digi Port AG USB sound card. Used in very highly amplified systems like studios, halls, clubs. Very clean and basic and puts the SoundBlaster products to shame. Used one for years on a 3000W rms DJ system using the PCDJ setup. No noise.
