setup information

Hi guys ...

I have a new amp (Kenwood KAC-7205) 1000Wpeak,500Wrms
and i would like to put 1 sub on it. Why .... I don't want to take all the place in my truck.

I'm looking for a : Orion XTRPro124 12" (1000Wpeak,500Wrms)
or Clarion PXW1252 12" (1000Wpeak,500Wrms)

Witch of those sub would be best to have a kickass sound?
Or what sub would you suggest?

Note that : I would like to have a good sound with all type of music, hiphop, dance, rock etc.

Well both subs you mention won't work since they are Dual 4 (2 or 8 ohms), you need a dual 2 sub to get the 4ohms load that your amp require when bridged.

What's your budget? size limit?

budget 250$

so if I understand ... I should look for a DVC 2ohm =4ohm (that will fit on my amp?)
Is there a big deference between single voice coil and dual voice coil ?

Strictly wiring options. A dual 2 ohm can be wired in series to get 4 ohms, or in parallel to get 1 ohm. We would wire in series.

If I want to push one good DVC sub on my Kenwood Kac-7205 2ch.

Should I plug it this way ?

Also...
Anyone have advise for me for a GOOD sub ?
should I go with a 10" sub or 12"sub?

Sundown Audio SA Series subs.
Work well on all types of music and should be able to get a new one at or just over your budget.

Used gear is always an option.
As was mentioned, you'll want to go with a SVC 4ohm or DVC 2ohm to match up with your amp.

you got it dead on. Most subs you find in that caliber will be DVC
