Greetings!
Well here is my issue: I am currently using the next equipment:
*HU: Kenwood MP425
*Components: Focal Polyglass 165V (tweeter & mid range)
*Com.Amp: Rodek 425i (4ch, extremely old school, made in usa amplifier)
*Crossovers: A.) Alpine 2 way 12oct
B.) Legacy LX6 (cheep china made ****) 3 way 12oct
*Subwoofer: Alpine 6013 (29lit closed box, 10', 100RMS, very old school also)
*Sub.Amp: Lanzar 210 (2ch, about 150rms "china" RMS when bridged)

Connections: my hu has 2 RCA outputs.
* the first is for the components. The RCA goes to the rear of my car (Nissan Sunny 93'). There it's connected to the Legacy Cross. It cuts the stream to ABOVE 80 Hz, so the components won't play freq that was ment for the sub. From there is goes to the Alpine Cross which cuts the input to 2 RCA outputs; one for the tweeter and the over for the mid range.
* the second is for the sub. It goes also to the rear where it's connected to the Lanzar amp. I am using the internal cross of the amp to cut the input below 120-100Hz (you can't know for sure).

The dilemma: I was offer to buy a used AUDIOCONTROL 3SX 2 inputs, 3 outputs crossover. This cross can cut for up and down, so I would be able to get rid of the two crosses I am using for the components and the internal cross of the Lanzar.
No doubt that this cross is WAY more professional then what I am using now. Also its 24octave, rather then 12octave and less (god knows who they do it in the Lanzar).

In favor:
* possible increase in quality
* less wires, less space, less distortion created by all the wires.
* general more complete and professional feel (towards my definition of satisfactory)
* the guy who is sell me this, is an audiophile. He has RTA equipment at home, so he'll set and system properly.
* thought about buying a 4' speaker and making my component 3 parts rather then 2, so i'll have to replace the crosses i am using any way if i am gonna do this.

Against:
* will cost me about 90$, which I don't have.
* REALY not sure if I'll get something actual in return. With this money I can buy a nice set of 4' speakers for the rear or kick panels for the front, or buy the utopia original tweeter and replace mine.

The questions:
* what are you thinking overall?
* WILL I HEAR BETTER? IS THERE GOING TO BE ANY OBVIOUS DIFFERENCE?
