Simple USB/ MP3 decks w/ SQ in mind...suggestions?
Hello
just purchased a 05 Subbie and was looking to replace my crappy stock deck
with a simple to use Mp3 and USB capabilities
I have had alpine in the past but seeing the coin I spent for that, dont want to do that again
so what would you suggest for an inexpensive deck..
like something under $225
thanks in advance for all your help

I'd stick to the Kenwood or dare I say a Sony if cost is a factor. JVC also offers the KD-R600 giving USB at an afforable price. Three models I'd look at are Kenwood KDC MP342U $149.99, Sony CDXGT430U $149.99, and JVC KD-R600 $149.99. The Alpine CDA-105 is $229.99 (roughly) and it has USB and gets you the Alpine name that I'm sure you trust. A Pioneer DEH-P5100UB is at the same price point the Alpine is, but I would lean to the Alpine side for sound quality on this one... The DEH-P510UB is a Pioneer Premier deck that offers the same features but better sound quality... Problem is that the price point breaks out of your budget. Hope this helps.
P.S. Don't forget about dash kits, wiring harness, and antenna adapter parts when making a selection, as they will raise the cost of a deck
Ciao
