Single 8" Subwoofer Suggestions....

This is for another system I am currently throwing together for my SUV out of 'spares' left over from multiple shopping sprees, while trying to get everything ready for my main Skyline build. I am basically only short a subwoofer at this point.

I will make this short and sweet, although it must be a single 8" Woofer.

When making a suggestion, please include: AVERAGE PRICE and AVAILABILITY (Dealer) for the Woofer please.

What I want:
- The performance of a JL 8W7.

What I don't want:
- to have to shell out the big bucks for an 8W7.....lol

Available Power for the Sub:
- 600w RMS @ 4ohms, Audison SRx2s.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks in advance,
Allan

Im looking for something similar, considering the polk mm840. Im going more for SQ than SPL.

Sundown SA-8. I believe there"s a member on this site that has two available as well.

MTX 5500 series 8". I put 300rms each (rated for 200) into four of them for 5 years and they never let me down. Fantastic driver for about $150-180 each.

would the mtx be good in IB?

I'm also curious about the sound quality of the SA-8 in a ported enclosure.

This isn't looking very promising thus far, so it looks like an 8W7 might be the only logical choice considering the power I plan to run to it and the performance I desire.....
