I wanna know why you bought 8" and 12" subs?? And why you are mounting both on the center console?? (I think that's what I read)

What are you running for your top end speakers?

It just confuses me why you would spend so much money on two different sizes of speaker that are designed to play pretty much the same frequency.

3/4" excursion on an 8" is decent. the 12" does 1 1/5" excursion. i dont really want all the spl but i do like to rattle my brain loose once in a while. w7 are good sq/spl subs.

they are both made to play a certin range... where the 12 may hit hard from 40 up to 80 hz... the 8 is good for 80-100 range... thats where you hear the best volume out of them... its all about filling in the gaps...

they will each have independent enclosures in the console. each set is driven separately and will be crossed over to play different frequencies. 12"s are boomy. 8"s are tight. played in a sealed enclosure it would be good for say..rock music. the ported 12" would be good for say. rap. with the ability to turn each sub set off it is total controlability. my high end would be played by focals.
