subsonic canceling mids?

hi guys, i finally tested the setup that i was building all summer... the sw8200 sitting in about 2.5cuft (about cuz the box is curved so i cant rilly tell exactly)in my trunk picks up lows that distort/cancel my mids and partially highs... i was recommended to put some polly fill in the box so i can pick up even lover freq-( right now i can pick up 10-15Hz) is there any way of sealing the trunk or sealing the rear 6x9(as their back is exposed to the trunk) so i don't get that cancellation? or is it the eardrums that dont pick up anything at certain spl?... and is it good idea to go lower ???

Search for term VBA or Violent Bass Air.

This gentleman here has the same problem as you do.

Well i reached the max thread limit but i got the idea of this thread being mostly jokes.... but i also learned that the cancellation can be fixed,,, i will try to make some boxes for those 6x9 but it will be extremely difficult as the magnets of the 6x9 are mm away from the top of the box :/.... thanks for advice tho

P.s. will it hurt to just make the boxes overly huge and one for both? (sealing the edge of the sub box with the rear panel that the 6x9 are attached to?

inverting the polarity of the sub might just help.

try some XTC foam baffles for the 6x9s. They're soft foam so they can fit around trunk lid springs but they work to isolate the drivers.

They are a medium density grey foam. Any install shop should be able to get them in. Many online shops have them as well such as parts-express and Crutchfield.
