System advice.
Ok I was looking for a little advice on a system I’m thinking of putting in my Acura CL. I upgraded most of the hardware in my Mx6, so I have a left over MRV-F545 (my first amp lol) and when I got it, I was happy with it powering Focals using passive crossovers. But now im looking to put a system in my CL (daily driver) but I want to enjoy my music. So I was wondering
if the Alpine mrv-f545 could provide decent SQ running components in active? I know its class D, and it wont provide the SQ a audiophile amp would produce, but I just want a general idea what I’m getting myself into. My system idea was Alpine mrv-f545 (for powering front end) using audio control 2xs Alpine Mrd-M1005 (for powering a Type R or X) Seas Mids, Seas Tweeters Now as for input I would like suggestions for decent front end for under $300 (my doors are 6.5”) and I will be remaking some mirror tweeter pods. Also a suggestion for a subwoofer, so far im set on the type R, I want something with some SQ, and some decent output. I LOVE tight punchy base, not a rattle box (I am dynamiting the trunk and doors) |
i'd worry about the amps last. just get enough power, but you have it, so don't worry.
are u sure 545 is class d? |
the 545 is definately NOT a class D, that will provide TONS of power. We did a few vehicles a few years ago that had the DLS Ultimate Iridium 6.5" two ways components with 2 channels of the 545 bridged into each door and wow did it sound amazing. Tonnes of power lots of control.
No one has come back with a shredded mid yet. Real nice amp |
