Tuning/Hissing from Componets.

Hi all, just got the stereo put in, everything sounds good except one thing: I am getting a hissing sound from the componets in the front when music is paused or inbetween songs.

Set up is:

Pioneer 6900UB
Energy 6.5' Componet set powered by a Pioneer gm-x952 amp
2 12 inch pioneer dual voice coil subs powered by a kicker kx600.1 amp

I've been reading that possible amp connections or ground may be the issue.

Keep note that I really have'nt tuned it much yet, could my gains on the componets be too high?

Any help would be great!

gain on your amp. figure out the loudest you need to turn it up on your deck and work down from that. also check all power wires and signal wires dont cross or touch. try and extra insulate your signal wires. finally different grounding options. copper wire conducts better than steel.

Definitely sounds like the gain is set too high.

Internal fuses on the rca's blow, Simply wrap some wire around each rca end and ground it to the chassis of your deck and all will be fine.
