i am interested to know if anyone has had any success building a bridge to suspend a tweeter over a midrange similar to the cdt audio, mb quart idea. i am thinking about building a partial bridge not a full bridge, i am concerned about the tweeter not having a proper baffle to mount to, any input would be great

The less baffle a tweeter has the better actually. Beware the dreaded 'edge diffraction'

Make sure your bridge is rigid enough to support the tweet and can hide the wires and you are set.

Another idea would be to cut a hole in the supplied grill, and pop the tweet in there, somemanufacturers do this for you.

also remember this. all the quart bridges i have seen, have a bit it an incline, especially the 6.5 due to the fact that you might have a good amount of excursion. if it's too low then you'll damage your dustcap. fyi

i used something on the lines of plumbers strap on my old set up... it was like it but a lot more rigid... work fairly well...
