What I learned today...
"Super tweeters" are painful and serve no use inside a vehicle, or any distance less than 15 feet away.
What freq range do these particular ones run? What if they were highly attenuated? CDT run an "Upstage tweeter system" that looks like it runs really high frequencies that are attenuated.
Bit of history. Supertweeters came to market in the 70s as a way to augment the HF performance of typical speakers that had paper cone tweeters. They sat on top of the speaker. Todays quality dome tweeters have plenty of HF performance and I dont see the need of cheap ebay "supertweeters" They probably perform worse than what you already have.
Yea man they do, they leave my ears wet and ringing everytime. I need to relocate mine
I think I might trade them for some less sensitive ones. They sound great from a distance, but inside the vehicle its another story. They sound great though, and I had to do some creative wiring to be able to turn them down so I could get better balance from the system.
Luckily these were meant for inside and outside so I'm not too worried, but I definitely will not be putting in more, especially up front. |
What you should have learned is that Super Tweeters should never be mentioned in the SQ section :D
rofl my bad, can you move it to the SPL section? hahahaha good one Dukk, you were about due for a zinger weren't you?
