Hi, my sub is 200 watts RMS X2, so I'd like an amp about 300 X 2. What do you recommend. A friend of mine has a Kicker Zr1000 for $500.00. Amazing amp, but how good does it sound? what else can you recommend? please help. I have no idea what to do.

ZR1000 is a geat amp. It will far exceed its power ratings and will need a good electrical system to get all of its potential (as with most 1000+ watt amps, especially a class A/B)

Seems like a lot more amp tham you need. What's the impedance of your coils?
