Will a audio processor give much improvement?
 

Hi guys I've just recently finished an SQ install and I am wondering if a audio processer would improve the sound much? Im thinking Audison bit ten d and possibly adding the bit in feature to the amps.

I have hertz Mille.2 2 way components up front running of a passive crossover.
Herts hcx690 in the back (I'm currently Debating with myself if wether I actually like the rear fill or not)
12jlw7 in a sealed box.
Audison voce Quattro & uno amps
kenwood kdc-bt73dab Headunit
And I've full covered the car in 4mm silent coat

All installed in a 3 door corsa d

i had audison bit ten before , it can help you to separate frequency range for each speaker and it has a really powerful equalizer everything is under control, but i prefer to use a high quality headunit.

A high quality Head unit with a built in DSP? A High end HU without some sort of processing is useless. Even An Denon Z1, Alpine F1, Ect.

Yes there's huge benefits to running an active front stage, all you need is the enough channels of amplification. I personally don't like Audison Processors. If you want to do it on the cheap look at the Mini DSP, or the Rockford 360.3, Alpine H-800, Mosconi 6-8, ect.. You'll need a controller or a laptop for tuning.

Or the Pioneer PRS 800 is a nice entry level HU with active processing. JBL MS-8 has a great auto tune, so that's a good option for you if your green at tuning.

Adding a processor will help for sure due to the fact that the adjustments that can be made are VERY precise. HOWEVER, you already have SQ oriented gear and great sound can be achieved through a good head unit as mentioned already. Unless your VERY keen on picking up the subtlest changes in tones or frequencies, a good head unit will do the trick just fine. If you do decide that a processor is for you, I recommend the Aline H-800. Phenomenal unit!

What is considered SQ gear? What kind of HU is "High end"? What is a subtle change or being precise? It's no wonder people deserted this forum years ago! This is some of the most idiotic, misleading, piss poor information I've ever read on an audio forum.

Having basic processing is essential for achieving even a relatively good sound. You cant control frequency steer,T/A, phase, or proper tonality... Let alone imaging and a realistic soundstage.. Even if you can get the phase right and T/A right you're a helluva lot better off than without.

I recommended getting the hell off this forum and going on talkaudio.uk, or diymobileaudio.com. This forum is full of advice that isn't worth pissing on, go somewhere where you can learn something from people that know wtf they're talking about because you sure as hell aren't going to get it on here.
