It seems that I did the deck install improperly. When it comes to the diagnostic the car has to have the factory deck in it, but VW dealer says it can be bypassed. Can someone help me out? I figure there is another wire I'm suppose to hookup to the keysence wire but which one?

I wish my folks would let me install a deck in their 99 Passat so I could join your club.

On the newer VW's there is a power antenna and amp wire in the aftermarket harness (blue and blue/white) if these are hooked up to anything (power,ground, remote wires off the deck) you will smoke the dealers diagnostic machine.
