2 subs for an amp?
2 subs for an amp?
hi to all, i just want to know what's the best in installing 2 subs and one amp with 2 channels...... I have 2 10's jbl gto 1014D that will be running by autotek 1000 watts 2 channels amp...... what is the best way to do it? set the amp to mono and bridged or use the full range system? thank you so much all the suggestions will be appreciated.... more power to all
Well, first of all there is no way that amp is 1000w. I've never seen a multi channel amp come anywhere close to that. However, if you insist on using it, you have to bridge both channels together by using Channel 1's positive and Channel 2's negative. Set the amp to mono/bridged.
Also, you better make sure you wire the subs to a total of 4 ohms.
Just a heads up though, don't expect anything fantastic, because you'd be surprised to get 100w combined to both subs.
