2000+ Cav install kit in a 1999 Cav

Hello Everyone.

I was wondering if a deck mounting kit for a 2000+ Cav will work in a 1999 Cav with little to no trouble? I like the looks of the 2000+ kits better than my current kit for the 99. Any suggestions?

KIT is about 3/4 of and inch taller than the 99 and older cav kit, and a little wider as well, the mounts will also not line up.

Thank You Extreme1, that's exactly the sort I thing I was wondering. I guess, I'll just suffer with the ugly looks of the older kit.

Actualy, one quick thought, are there another kits that are a bit more flush mount than the standard Cav kit for 1999?

Why not just make a custom kit,get a sheet of ABS plastic are lexani and then you can have the HU flush mounted.

Takes a little time but you can have it the way you want it

The kits from metra will ALMOST flush the deck in, however there will be some trimming of the structure in the dash to get the deck in and level.
