Hi,
I am new to the forum .Looks like some great stuff here. I just purchased a new 2007 Escape and I would like to start to make some changes. From what I understand the OEM speakers are 6X8. Well, my question is will a 6x9 go in and if so what kind of mod. am I looking at? Or maybe there is just an adapter ring?
Any help would be great!

I would not try and put a 6x9" speaker in there at all. Use a good 6x8" or a 6.75" component speaker with the adaptor template for best results.

 

5x7 should drop right in there as well.
